Application Example
Partial rotation soft close toilet seat damper
Does your toilet seat or lid slam down? Does your toilet seat or lid feel loose? Our dampers will solve these problems. When you apply our viscous dampers to your toilet seat, it will provide the resistance to motion and reduce the energy of movement. Slamming and noise will become past if peir rotary damper installed.
We choose laundry machine to save time. But when you hold the washer lid and hesitate to let it down immediately, do you think of an extra component? It will spare you from such concern as sudden slamming and annoying noise. With quick and easy installation, Peir rotational dampers reduce the speed to enable safe and soft close.
FAQ
The PR-T115G is a unidirectional damper for hinged lids, covers, doors, flaps and panels that need controlled movement in one specified rotation direction. It is suitable where the return stroke should have little or no damping resistance, while the closing or lowering stroke needs a smoother and quieter feel. Typical design areas include appliance covers, access panels, storage compartments, furniture lids and equipment enclosures, subject to confirmation of load, mounting space and operating environment.
Start with the gravity moment of the moving part at its most demanding position: Torque = mass × 9.81 × distance from the pivot to the centre of gravity. Use kilograms for mass and metres for the distance to obtain N·m. If two dampers share the load, divide the preliminary total by the number of dampers, then validate the result on the actual assembly. Friction, spring assistance, opening angle, mounting position, desired closing time and temperature can all affect the final value. Please treat the calculation as a starting point rather than the final specification.
Confirm first that damping is required in only one rotation direction. Then compare the required torque curve, working angle, shaft and housing geometry, mounting method, available installation space, opening and closing speed, operating temperature and target service life with the current PR-T115G drawing. Please also confirm the left- or right-hand installation direction before sample approval.
