What is linear damper?

Linear dampers are also a type of hydraulic dampers. They are used for smooth deceleration when you want to compress or tension in one direction, like cabinet doors, refrigerator doors, or trash cans.

How does the linear damper work?

Linear damper mainly includes damping oil, valve, cylinder, and piston rod. Pushing the piston rod makes the hydraulic oil push the valve core rise. So that the inside of the cylinder is closed, and the damping oil can only flow through the orifice of the piston to generate damping and achieve the slow movement effect.
How does the linear damper work?

Linear dampers types:

  1. Active return linear damper: After pushing the piston rod, the piston rod returns actively.
  2. Passive return linear damper: Need to be given an external force so that the piston rod can actively return to the original position.
  3. Extension linear damper: After pressing in, the piston rod must be manually pulled out.

Connector types of the linear damper:

  1. According to the different applications,
Peir can provide different connector choices.

Application:

Linear dampers can be used in different industries, for example, the automotive industry -such as in central armrests and glove boxes; furniture industry – such as in cabinet doors and sliding doors; home appliance industry – such as in refrigerator doors, ovens.
