The viscous grease in the body produces a damping force on the moving parts. The torque is determined by the viscosity of the grease and the inner cavity space.
The rotary damper family shown in the figure below includes 8 types. The difference among them, one is the different shapes which are for various assembly ways, and the other is a different size. The main factor in the buildable range of torque is the damper size.
Example: vane damper PR-T095E, its torque range is 5-55kgf.cm. Let’s say for example, it can be made into 15 ± 2 kgf.cm or 30kgf.cm.

The damping direction of this adjustable rotary damper can be clockwise, counterclockwise or two-sided rotation.
During each reverse movement of the unilateral decelerating versions, there is a certain return damping torque that depends on the size.
